Zooxanthellae Fingerprint

Fine, looping lines are drawn over a photographic image, tracing across and through the translucent forms. These marks echo the intricate patterning of zooxanthellae, but also resemble attempts to map, segment, or model what lies within.

The drawing operates like a speculative annotation—part measurement, part translation. Rather than clarifying the image, it interferes with it, layering interpretation over observation. What emerges is not a definitive reading, but a record of attention: how a living system is tracked, abstracted, and reimagined through the act of looking.
