Through and Through
In Through and Through, overlapping rounded forms hover between solidity and dissolution. Their semi-transparent surfaces reveal layered interiors, where fine striations echo the intricate patterns of zooxanthellae, suggesting both structure and flux—as if something is constantly moving through, being filtered, or absorbed. Lingering on transparency, texture, and quiet movement, the work reflects on permeability: how bodies contain and transmit, how boundaries blur. The interplay of acrylic and dry pastel creates a tension between smooth, luminous surfaces and grainy, vibrating textures.
